It was on the trailer on its way to auction, what better bargaining chip in my favor. Truck was filthy, and needed 3 days of 12 hour cleaning after it was detailed at the dealer to get to like new condition, but that too was a bargaining chip in my favor. They said for that price they couldnt fill the gas tank or detail the truck.
After 2 hours of arguing and phone tag, i got 4 New pirelli's, waxed exterior, shampoo'd carpet, new floor mats, interior cleaned and shiney, and a tank of fuel at chevron with the receipt to prove they got me the good gas, an oil change, complete vehicle inspection, and a folder showing me all the dealer maintained service records showing all preventative maintenance including the big 60k mile service.
I got to talk to the man that owned it as he was still signing the papers to trade it in as i was there to buy it, and he told me all about it. Seems they only gave him 12k on it for a trade in. Another bargaining chip.
