plc programing and editing ,,i had them and my laptop till my hdd took a dump ,,i will pay retail if i have to but im tring to get it on the cheaper side,,,i have it at work but we have to use the RSlinx version ,,and sign on to thier web site to edit ,,,there are versions that dont require ethernet connection,,,i do a lot of work on the side where i cant access internet to do editing

Programmable Logic Controller.

Used alot in manufacturing, where automation is required. These devices usually have a "Master" unit that can connect to a PC (Personal Computer) Via Ethernet, Ser, or even Wireless.

Being a Tech for many different companies I see theses alot and I'm asked to "connect" in someway to a computer. I just did a big project where I connected 5 factories via VPN (Virtual Private Network) so the staff can monitor and maintain a large number of PCL devices in the manufacture of Sugar and related products.

I've also overseen the implementation of a PCL at our local Sand Drag Track. Its used to control the "Tree" and get times, it then displays and prints those results.

Anyway, though, I have no clue on how to program the actual PLC device, nor do I have the software . Usually my clients do the end programming.

i have taught a bunch of techs how to install them ,,,thats the easy part ,,,hell even my son when he was 15 learned how to install one with me ,,,really any monkey can do that ,,,its the programming and troubleshooting is were the hard work comes into !
