Had a run in with a Luray, Virginia local police. 68/55. Caught me in a speed trap, thought I was going 68 in a 65. As many close calls I have had, this guy wouldnt cut me a break at all. If anyone has a Valentine One for sale, let me know before I buy a new one.

If you end up buying a new one. Call Valentine and ask them if they have any returns available. instead of 399 they are 359. Just picked one up last month this way.

i have ran a passport escourt 8500 for the last 7 years and knock on wood has saved me probably 30 times

same here escort 8500 since the day i bought the truck back in 05 no idea how many times it has saved my ass.

Yup, escort 8500 here also. It was head to head when placed up against the Valentine one and the price is less. Only thing that I like better about the V1, is u know where the radar is coming from

I know they are illeagle to use here in ontario canada, but would i have any problems getting them across the boarder? Also with the escort 8500 do they just beep like the old ones an when it detects another one beeps faster when it come towards you?

Legal out here in Alberta!:D:rock::elefant: lol

Why dont your order one from Alberta and have it shipped to ya???:dontknow:

Sometimes is not whether or not you intend to speed, its if you are aware the speed zone your in. My last ticket was 68 in a 55, thought i was in a 65, if I heard it, and would have instinctively braked just 4 mph, the impact on my insurance would be greatly reduced. If i hear that thing beeping, im hitting brakes no matter where im at to save my ass.

There are a few more in DC/VA for 175. May can talk them down to 150
