WTF is this????! Spider Bite??!

So what did you find out? Looks like a bite, but a brown recluse bite I believe would have swelled much more overnight.

Hope it's not the spider!

Let us know what the doc says.

It's been awhile, I'll bet he's still being treated.....

It's weird that (what could be) necrosis is not focused in one area... It's usually concentrated in the place of the bite itself where the greatest concentration of venom is.... His was a little here and there.... Kind'a weird.

God bless him.......... fkn spiders.... I am not a fan of venomous spiders... Gimme snakes anytime...

I think if he got bit by a brown recluse he would know it when it happened. It's not something that you just take lightly.

Business before pleasure bro!!!;)

Well. I'm not certain (not convinced) I know a whole lot more since this AM. My wonderful insurance requires that I be referred to a specialist. I can start there. I had to start off by going to a Walk-In facility - A Nurse Practitioners office.

I get checked in and seen, and the (I forget job title - it wasn't an MD) says I've got an alergic reaction to some sort of vine/plant/leaf. I've been around lots of herbs and shubbery in my short life, and do not recall being alergic to ANY of it! (HAHA!) As stated, the doctor insists that I've got an alergic reaction to something.

As Jim (VIPER PWR) noticed, I've got some other red spots on my leg, as well as my arms. Those spots only itch ever so slightly. It's not like I feel the dire need to scratch them. He says it's unlikely that I coinsedently aquired (4) BRS bites, AND an alergic reaction at the same time. He assumes it's all the same.

However he didn't totally rule-out the possibility of it being a BRS bite. Some chick gave me a shot of 'roids in the ass, and I have more 'roids to pic up tomorrow. If this doesn't affect in a few days, I've got anti-biotics I can pick up.

THEN, if neither of these prescriptions knock it out, or if shows to get worse as opposed to get better or show signs of getting better. THEN we'll assume is BRS bite. According to him there isn't an "anti-venom". The shit will have to be cut out.

As of right now. There is visible/physical difference than the pics I posted early this AM.

Yeah, it does, brother Earl.....

Venomous snakes usually will warn you beforehand, Diamondbacks and rattlers... The other vipers seem to be unwilling to bite unless you step on them....

There is one exception..... The fkn Cottonmouth... I've heard that they're just plain mean and will bite just cuz they have a badass attitude... I don't have any experience with them myself... But my southeastern friends say that the cottonmouth has the worse reputation of all..... Plus they spend alotta time in the water where they go virtually unnoticed until they strike....

Someone with more direct experience with cottonmouths chime in...

Take care of it bro. I'm going to the VA tomorrow for something (infection) that happened in 1983... I almost lost my leg from the knee down because of a Stingray,,, and Piss Poor medical attention at Macdill AFB in the 80s... For God sake don't touch Courtney until you know what it is.........................................................:p :p :p

You are in danger of a brown recluse bite if you live anywhere in this area.

I thought it might be from a thorn from a plant. I have had a similiar reaction to thorns. Good luck.

Damn Itch, bitten by a Corvette???:D :D

Glad you had a medic check it out, Jimi.....

The fact that it was in several locations is what made me wonder if it could possibly be a bite.... Unless you were bitten repeatedly....

The meds should do the trick....... Steroidal injections will get to the areas quickly...... Keep up the treatment regimen until your next visit..... Maybe get a second opinion... It couldn't hurt....

God bless....

Tim

I have a few of those on my taint.....Psssssh that ain't no bite and I can sure as Hell tell you it is not any Celulitis....My guess is Herpes :marchmellow:

Your friends are not wrong....

Was fishing around a small pond once in jacksonville. When it got dark we watched the cottonmouths swim across the pond directly toward us, because they could hear our voices. We used a BB gun to keep them at bay long enough to pack up and get the F'k out of there.

They will attack you even if they are not threatened... Nasty f'kers!!

If you shed some light on a leaf that causes bodily swelling you COULD put Viagra out of business.. Prof may want to speak with you..

I'm not quite sure how to take the whole :dontknow: shubbery thing though....
