Having a hard time getting anyone to do the instal...will be doing it myself on a friends lift. However, talked to one guy I called and he said it would cause big driveability issues. He said the downstream sensors control the fuel trim. Gary at X-metal did install the 02 sims. I thought the upstream sensors do the fuel trim and the downstream do the enviro bit. Should I be worried? :dontknow: 05 RC.

No worries, up stream do the fuel down stream do epa stuff...

upstream

so the upstream are not removed when you remove the OE cat mids?

The way I understood it teh upstream senors mount back into the catless mids, the rear ones get the sims and get strapped in clean air. I don't have mids yet so you might wait for some else to chime in...

I did a full cat delete and the front sensors are inserted into the mid pipes...the rear sensors, in my case are strapped to the frame in clear air. Sean Roe did the work.

hey, i have an 05 RC with the Boomer catless pipes... did the install myself and you still use
all four sensors.. makesure you unplug the neg. when installing.. that lets the
computer reset itself.. somepeople that don't unplug get a error code.. i never
had an error code and hopefully never will :D

I have them, just like Roy said the upstream ones are reinstalled, but I also have sims for the rear ones. I have absolutly no problems with them.

The only problem with the install is removing the bolts that hold the stock mid pipes to the manifolds. They don't have nuts on the bolts, they have some POS clips that can be a real bitch to remove.

Also remember, the pipe from the left side of the engine goes to the right side of the muffler, and vis-a-versa.

neg???

you mean uphook the negative battery terminal?:dontknow:

Yep! That would be the negative terminal to the battery. As they said, it lets the computer reset itself and helps to prevent you from getting that check engine light and code.

This place rocks...u guys are awesome...thanks much
