Hey Folks,

Glad to see everyone is still doing good and I'm also glad to see we've picked
up a few new members  I still got the truck but it's more of a garage queen
now then ever before.. Just my pride and joy :D Anyways, so I've been driving
it around lately and noticed that my idle seems off from time to time. For example,
I'll be driving around town and when I come to a light and put it in neutral the
RPMs will stay at around 2k. If I rev it the RPMs will go up fine but come back
down to 2k again.. This is really infrequent (I can't directly reproduce it) and
I don't think it's due to the TB sticking since i've put a good 20k on my
engine since I installed the TB. It's almost at 40,000 miles now so I think it's
more of a maintence issue. Could it be due to a dirty Mass Airflow Sensor?
or The TB position sensor has gone bad? I pulled the air filter the other day
and It was relatively caked with crud.. Speaking of air filters, I have one of
those Airraid reusable air filters in now.. Has anyone tried to clean one with
good results? Let me know what you guys think :D ;)

Regards,

Andrew

Mine does the same thing from time to time.
I've been told it's the TPS. I haven't done anything about it though to see if that is the case. Seems to do it more often when its hot.

Hey Andrew good to hear from you. It probably is your tps easy replacement from local auto parts store.

Thanks guys, turns out it was the TPS... What's even more odd about this situation
was the new one I got from pepboys turned out to be defective so I got a warranty
replacement at a different store. Just figure I would keep you guys in the know ;) :D

Regards,

Andrew
