Ya Can't Fix Stupid (or Thank You, Dodge!)

Since I'm officially on vacation, I reluctantly head out to do one easy errand. To the post office and back....simple.
It was not to be.

On my way back, some female nitwit in her little eco-box pulled out in front of me with NOT EVEN CLOSE to enough room- let alone enough accelleration. Especially in a 50 mph area.
I was doing the limit. Clear skies. Straight, flat, dry road. How she's unable see a massive, full-size black truck is beyond me. If your vision is that bad, you shouldn't be driving at all.

If it were not for the gigantor brakes on these trucks, that little stunt of hers would have ruined her day...and probably her life. I came within about 1' of her rear quarter panel/bumper.

The question is: Did she know that my driving skills and my vehicle could handle such an action by her, or is she just a f-ing idiot?

I was very polite (no horn; no finger), but I think the downshift after the heavy braking- from 4th to 1st- scared her more than anything. It sounds like thunder coming from somewhere behind you. LOL

I figured this out years ago that you can't fix ignorant stupid people, I installed a very large push bumper on the front of my Ford F-350 and I don't slow down any more. I just shove them out of the way. It proves that Ferds are good for something, a sacrificial bumper truck. Next week I'm installing an exterior roll cage and full perimeter reinforcement the ultimate bumper truck. Now get out of my way road hog!!!

What's worse is when you are in a fire engine with the sirens going, air horns blaring, and the Federal Q wound up and they still pull in front of you. hey sometimes it happens.....just the other day i was driving down the road minding my own business,reloading my gun and i dropped a shell it fell on the floor board i reached down to pick it up. And swerved into the other lane ,almost causing a major accident!! then the idiot yells at me so i show him my gun explaining that iwas was just reloading it and i dropped a shell!!

He freaked out and ran the red light assuming i was pointing the gun at him in a threatning manner, however that was not the case!

so all i am saying is shit happens sometimes!!!

This is not defending the gal, but I do have a question.

Is there anyone that has not done something stupid while driving? I know I have. Sometimes you just zone out. Hell, it happens to professional race car drivers at times. Go into a corner and realize at the last moment that you're in 4th, not 3rd, and wad it up in the hay bails or tire wall.

I guess it's why they are called "Accidents". Most people do not do it on purpose.

I have found more people pull out in front or cut it too close (no accelleration) lately than ever before.

So has the percentage of "idiot drivers" gone up?
