My wife is a big yankees fan. I personally hate the sport and find it as boring as a golf game without Tiger or beer. We live about 5 hours out of new york and i was planning on taking her to a game. I have no idea what would be a good game, who their biggest rivals are. Because this is a once in a lifetime experience for the both of us, Im willing to pay $200 per ticket to get her a decent seat. So a few questions for anyone that can answer it for me....

What are the big team rivalies?
Will $150 bucks get me decent seats?
What section should i try to get seat in?
Local hotels near the subway?

Tell me anything someone who knows nothing about baseball, and whos never been to new york, might want to know.

Well i just learned i can catch a yankees game at the Baltimore Orioles for MUCH less, its 30 minutes away and i wont have to pay for the $200 hotel and $500 in misc expenses. This might be a better deal. Think she would love me any less? Ill get a front row seat above the yankees dugout.

I dunno the price but I know if you go when they are about to leave (ie. catch friday game, then they fly out for out of town game) on sunday at yankee stadium your allowed to walk through the dug outs, change rooms, back stage tour and get to wander on the field.. which is sure to let you park your truck in her garage... I'd just pay for the real deal and soak it all in...
baseball sucks but the hotdogs are great:D

You only live once and regrets are for pussies...

Cats out of the bag now, I had to ask her opinion before I planned this. She's a jeter fan and wants to be near short stop. So an away game makes more sense.

Jeff bring her to Tampa Pre season at Stienbrenner Feild..... Section 107 will give her a real close good chance to get autograph's and maybe talk to Jeter.... on deck batters sit right there next to the dugout .. Just a thought hahaha .... link has ticket prices and field schematics .....It also has all info on Yankee Stadium games ....

Do Camden Yards, unless y'all want the experience of NYC. FYI: My brother and dad, this past season, went to Yankee stadium and were in attendance when Jeter broke the 3000 hit barrier. I don't recall exactly the ticket price but I think they were in the neighborhood of $65 - $75 per seat -- and they were in the outfield nose bleeders. Also, if y'all go to Yankee Stadium, be prepared for some serious, zealous (and passionate) fans...

go to a yankees vs. boston game. Their biggest rivalry...

if you go to the game with your military id they give you great tickets for free...i go all them time....
