The door is the last defense barrier..... Mine's made of some kind'a metal...

Never open the door to a stranger in the dead of night.... It put's you in a far worse position to defend..... It almosts forces you to shoot the intruder.... Maybe that's what he wanted....

Feel sorry for the dog....

When in doubt, hunker down and call 911... Maybe the cops can shoot him before you do....

Lotta cowboys out there..... on both sides of the law...

Great story. I agree that the door is a bad guy's last chance. Once in, they won't get out.
Congrats to this guy, and I bet he sleeps well. I missed what happened to the dog, he's the victim here.
 
Just be watchful that the other azzholes don't show back up for revenge !!! The one got what he deserved though !!!:rock: :rock: :rock: One less badd guy in the world to worry about !!
 
New years eve 1980 a guy was banging on my front door and forced his way in. I took him to the ground and cuffed him(I still had my uniform on) before noticing the knife he had in his hand.

Found out later that he had stabbed two people before coming to my house and I have been kicking myself ever since for not killing him.


PS: What chills me to this day is that if I had been a few minutes later coming home or this maggot a few minutes earlier my then wife and baby would have been there by themselves.

In NC it's legal to shoot someone breaking in the front door but once inside it's no longer legal.:dontknow: Just enforces the old "Shoot first ask questions later".

I think we have the "Castle Doctrine" law here in VA,but if we do or not
if you get into my house at night ,you WILL NOT be leaving alive.

I shoot first and don't worry about the questions.

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Now,just so you don't think I am not a good Christian,I will pray with him before he dies if possible.:)

Its very easy to say, probably very easy to do.

For some of us its not so easy to live with yourself after.
