I found out yesterday it's closer to total loss than expected. I should know today if it is totaled or not. Ins is waiting on one more document to determine their value of the truck. Thanks to ALL that have replied!!

The cam sensor is fully plastic on the outside unlike the visible magnet on the end of crank sensor. I guess I'm now draining $75 of Mobil one from last week and pulling pan to see what's in there.

I have that also. Mine is only on start up and not rpm related. It is a winding up sound that gains audibility for about 20-30 secs and stops completely and does not come back. Also, I believe only on cold start??
