anyone else with X-Metal shifter problems?

Double check and make sure the boot is not too tight (pulled up to high on the shift lever) when the shifter is in the 2nd gear position. That was happening to me and the boot was so tight in 2nd it would pull it out of gear when I would let off the throttle.

I carefully slit the seam of the boot about 3/4 of an inch to avoid the binding.

i installed mine and it did the same thing. i tryed loosening bolts,bang 2nd. no luck.put stock back in.
