Driving out of the parking lot the truck just falls on it face. It will idle but as soon as I give it some gas it leans way out. I have a code for the front O2 sensor (P0031) so I think it is not reading the A/F therefore leaning the truck out. Wife is coming to pick me up so I can go buy a new one and replace it. This was already supposed to be a new one according to the charges from Marty. He replaced the front and rear. Although there was not a rear even installed as I discovered this weekend.

If the PCM is not reading the O2 sensor it should go to a default setting that is a very fat A/F............you might try flashing your PCM if you have the SCT...I had a problem several times where the truck would not start after starting it cold and shutting it down after a few seconds....I flashed the PCM and it would start right up...nobody could ever explain why..:dontknow:

Damn son, have you called marty to verify. Maybe he forgot to install it.

What he did was remove my cats and used the rear bung for my Wide Band A/F gauge. Before I had an extra hole drilled for the gauge.

I dont know how this would work with sts and your sct or vec, but If you just unplug the o2 it should run on default which is fat rich. This could work for you but not sure because of your set up

maybe a tps? its not getting a reading that the throttle is being opened and it isnt giving her any more fuel

I replaced the front left O2 sensor. Truck is running like crap. I reloaded the tune from the SCT and it ran the same. It is very lean, even at idle. I was able to get the turbo spooling and the A/F looked OK. But it was hard to get into boost so it was only there a short time. Still throwing the P0031 code. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or if it is just coincidence. I'm lost at this point.

This would not be the first SCT from Marty that has developed a problem !!!The more I listen to people, the more I would think twice about his services !!They seem to have taken a downhill slide for whatever reason !!!:( :dontknow:

While I wouldnt have anything by Marty this issue probably has nothing to do with him..................Have you tried disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes? Something may just need to reset..

It's too bad, met Marty at Earl's GTG and thought he was a stand up guy. Hope it all turns around, has anyone spoken with him, is he trying to resolve issues?

Have you checked to see if it's shorted to ground?

Which ground? When the truck is idling it sounds fine. I can only tell it is lean by looking at the A/F gauge.

If you want to give me a little bit, I can post up the T/S Sheet

I spoke to him several days ago and he got my issue squared away.

.

Reloaded the new program and then an old program. Still no change. On the test drive I noticed that if I give it just a little bit of gas the lean condition is not so bad, but if I go about 1/2 throttle the truck goes to about 0 vacuum and almost shuts off and the A/F is so lean the gauge reads ---.
