WHYYY WOULD YOU DO THIS

yup..you are correct raceram9, its the 300C SRT/DG (Design Group) Pretty much the R/T version for the 300. 5.7Hemi with 10 more hp, upgraded suspension, and little louder exhaust (high flow). 350hp instead of srt8's 425hp.

they did do a good job on it, but it does seem he could have bought a 10 cheaper. i thought laramies had the leather package?

I haven't seen any other regular 1500 cabs having leather from factory, only cloth seats.. :dontknow: Think some RC models have that option, but hard to find them for sale.

The GTX package had leather, I'm pretty sure they were basically srt seats

Ya learn something new everyday. I haven't even heard of that model before. :) Pretty rad interior! Seats look like they could be!

Quad cabs came with leather (Laramie) but only GTX and Srt r/c came with factory leather, I know a few people who put katskin leather covers on ones without.

yeah i got pretty lucky with my buy. found it for 9500.00 used. its 2002 dodge ram quad cab sport with 5.9l (pos engine) but lucky for my my srt10 engine bolted right into it and the exterior paint looks flawless and the interior was mint

I can appreciate all the work you have done to install a V-10 into your 1500!

Another thing you may think about is the fact that our 10's actually have modified 3/4 ton frames vs. your 1500 frame. The weight of the engine isn't the deciding factor as it's only a lil heavier than an iron 360, but the 525 ft. lbs/tq the Viper produces that like to twist the frame under any significant load. I imagine a bit of X-ing the frame rails and a couple extra crossmembers should do the trick. Not sure of the amount, but our engines also DO NOT sit square in the engine bay. Believe it's to the passenger side a hair! Good luck and looking forward to reading about the finished product and the shit eatin grin on your face when you can't hook the tires for shit.;)

THANKS!!!!

Yeah i have done a little homework and found that the frames are in fact different (mine being a little lighter ). Isnt the SRT-10 engine also lighter then the P.O.S 5.9L? Hey thanks for the heads up with stiffin up my frame also i really never thought of that, but i am going to be welding in a crossmember towards the rear to bolt my driveshaft support bearing to on Monday 7MAR2011 so ill have to see what i can do to add some additional strength :burnout::burnout:

I cant wait to drive this thing too lol. I got a B&G tune, K&N intake, 3" exhaust with magnaflow x pipe and 3" round magnaflow mufflers with no CATS so should feel pretty good

The GTXs came from the factroy w/ cloth seats all they really are is 1500 RC Hemi trucks

they were bought by a after market company like Mr.Norms, or Pettys Garage and painted 1 of at least 3 colors the Orange like in the video and a sublime green and plum crazy purple color all GTXs got leather seats also done by the after market company and all were badged with a #plate, Dodge had nothing to do with the GTX Rams just made the base for them.

So GTX Rams did not come from the dodge factory w/leather seats and there were only about 240 of these trucks made

Dumb question for you, do you have the VIN of the truck your motor came out of?, if so, could you PM it to me

THX

"Super nice SRT-8 clone with low miles, rear spoiler, 20" rims, custom exhaust, cold air intake, looks fantastic and runs better, call today for easy free pre-approval!!!"

Hmm didnt know we had a SRT-8 truck too just thought that was cars..hmm

So does this mean we can take the badges off our trucks and say we got a hemi in it

oops....

Sorry to hear that

Thanks...Vj

Do you know if there is a way i could look that type of info up though? like maybe with the engine vin or something? I would be nice to no exaclly where the engine came from and probley make getting parts easier. When i bought it i really didnt think to ask for that info and i bought the motor a couple years ago. All i know is that the truck was totalled and the guy bought it back from his insurance

where did you read that the frame was lighter? i though the 06 srt-10 QC was the only one that had the 3/4 ton frame
