well...who ever owned it before me did it halfway I think....I only see one per side...no muffler, straight pipe to the little resonator right before the tips....
Yup a catback should eliminate the resonators....sounds like the previous owner did a catless midpipe already

good choice on the CAI. i went with the Volant CAI becus it is supossed to give me 85+ hp to the tires, and with the scoop atachment it boosted to 115whp.:rock:
no but on a seriouse note, a little fabrication was required of the hangers so i let an exhaust buddy of mine put on my maggie, he took out my 2 back cats and welded in 3'' pipe in their place for free if i let him keep the cats. they have some very valuable metal in them, and im not plannin on sellin the truck so it worked for me:rock:

I even paid the extra $400 for the Gen III mod, $845 all together plus shipping ($90).
hmmmm after i finish gluing these popcicle sticks to this birdhouse i am guna do some more reasearch on this one.
No i just thought it would be funny becouse there is so much controversy on the CAI vs. drop in filter vs. CAI brand.
i have even heard people say that they have "proven" lmao, that the volant brand cai acctually makes u lose hp,
I know it is a debate i want no part of,,,, but,,,, i also know that i went from a stock filter to a volant CAI and deffinatly felt a seat of the pants differance. now that could be becuz i put the cai on or it could be becus i took off the stock air filter. all i know is i am happy with my choice and rather it is functional or not i think the scoop insert is a conversation piece at the least.

I just wanted to check because I know there are people that have been told the same!
I noticed a difference when I put my K&N CAI on,the black marks on the pavement were 2-3 times longer!!:burnout::rock: ,so like people say they lose power,I have doubts:aetsch
the marks on the pavement told me otherwise and I gained 1.5 MPG also),and the sound incresae on WOT was way louder and better too:rock:

i hear yeah, betr mpg, sound, and more pull in the power band. the way i know for sure is kinda like urs. my truck is still pretty stockish so i know i got more tourque/hp from the CAI cus instead of a little chirp when i hit second it kicks the ass out and i get at least a couple rotations of the tires b4 it grabs
plus now i can pretty much roast the tires at anytime at any speed anywhere in 1st. too uch fun. my whole truck is debadged so u either know what it is or not. so all the little stangs in my town are too much fun, hahaha

like i said, much controversy. well it depends who u talk too, u could get as many answers as cai. some say that a drop in K&N is the best, others not, others do it for looks,
all i know is my truck and i love my cai. granted it is thought that it is not functional, even at high speeds. but i beg to differ, but i have no proof in dyno results or any thing like that. the volant is one of the more expensive ones plus if u do alot of in town drivong u canot vent engine heat through the scoop (as it was origionally designed fror)
jmb has a nice one at a nice price too

hells to the yeah, my headers and pipes are in the mail to me, and getn the tunes after they are installed, i feel like a kid on christmas. lowerin the back and puttn on caltracs all at the same time so, my test drive after all that stuff should be pretty friggin fun:rock::elefant::burnout:
