1/4 miles for a 05 srt10??

what will a 2005 quad cab srt10 hit at the 1/4 mile... mods are as followed, no cats, cai,tuned (idk by who), on stock 22s ....what would it run in texas hot weather....im supposed to run a guy in my h/c 5.7 and wana know what im up against
 
hopefully someone more qualified will chime in but i would guess it would run somewhere in the low to mid 13s depending on traction.

go to the time slip section and u can get a good idea of what mods will do what at what tracks/elevations.

is it true that a qc will beat a rc in the quarter if they r both stock and the rc has a prof driver??? cus thats what i have heard but my rc is much faster than my qc
 
I say with your mods you'll run mid to high 13's (closer to high 13's) depending on traction. from the start lower your rear tires down to 14 psi and try leaving from idle. If you can stall at 1200 rpm, launch and get traction do that but if not just leave from idle.

NO sir it will not beat a RC period! If they both had sticky tires and cut the exact same 60ft times, the reg cab I would say would be almost a second quicker. I have about the same mods and my personal best was a 13.4@104 and still had some spin off the line but not alot. You have many downsides to the QC depending on how equipped. The extra -/+ 400 lbs, the 30-50rwhp difference from the auto vs. manual, and the simple physics of getting 5000lbs off the line from a dead stop vs. getting that 5400 lbs off the line and the weight transfer difference. The reg cab will transfer weight to the rear wheels better than the longer QC with factory suspension.

The only way I lose to a QC is if he has twice the horsepower...stock for stock the RC will win every time unless the guy can't drive.:rock:
 
cool, thats kindof what i thought but never been to the track. the guy that told me that is a very good mechanic, but i just wasnt sure on that one. thanks

ditto, people that don't know ho to drive the RC's gave us all a bad name when these things came out, i never saw one run under 14.0 when they first came to the track. After I test drove mine i knew it wasn't a 14sec truck, sure enough my first pass ever in it ended up being a 13.42 and i ran a 13.19 by the 4th pass.

13.19 stock? hells yeah.

when i traded in my 05 qc it had maggie exhaust with 2 cat delete, flashed PCM from DC, and a CAI. traded it for a bone stock 06 RC and the 06 was undeniably faster stock. the only regret i have is we found out we were pregnant the day i traded it. but i alredy put a deposit cuz i had to drive a couple hours to get it and had them hold it for a coup0le weeks for me. owell

yeah, the 5 year old loves the srt. go fast gofast.

not to big a problem, we got a trailblazer and my old dodge (qc) so we can surfice. its just nice in the summer to go to family functions and stuff to take the srt. proly wont take the new guy in the srt for a while just in case. alot of stupid drivers an stupid people out there.

Low 14 around these parts with the mods you show.
13.8 @ 3000 feet.

depends on how hot it is too...I was running 14-14.5 during july and aug last year. When i got rid of my cats and did a K&N drop in i started running high 13's until the weather got a little cooler.
 
At 2600 ft my qc ran 13.74@104 stock and RC 13.42 with cai and exhaust. K&N cai slowed my qc by 2 tenths
 
Well slow5.7 has already ran a 1.81 60ft, 8.4@85mph then his his driveshaft broke after the 1/8 mile so its runs good for a H/C quad cab HEMI with 3600 stall and 4.56....I say in good weather it should hit low low low 13's
