well after 36 hour of research and little sleep i have changed plans slightly.
i will be buying a shorter trailer, why? weight.
i cannot cross 26,000 without much more BS and paperwork.

so i stopped by a place selling a trailer new, for 7K. it weights 6500# my truck weights 7500# so i can haul 12,000# loads. i think it was 30+5. so i lose 5'. the other trailer i was looking at was $13,900 and weighted more.

the guy with the trailer for 7K offered me 1000 for my 17' deck trailer. i will make a few calls tomorrow and see if i can get it for Monday pickup. not sure i can get all the quacks in line before then, but it would be nice to have it for the Florida run next week.

i picked out my trailer, will be giving them a deposit tomorrow to hold it until the bank gets back to me.
its more then i wanted to spend, at 13,000.
but its 40 foot flat, low profile, 31" high
it will have the 17.5" tires i wanted and a spare.
it knocks me down to a 10K cap until i get a CDL and FITA or whatever that road tax junk is. perhaps fatwa? lol

i would take photos, but Noah just floated by.

Generally there is much more money to be made doing hot-shot loads than spotting.... so, I'm guessing no more BIG stuff.

i went 100% solo. big load may be back, i am looking at getting a tri drive tractor for purely huge loads. i doubt i will get one thou, i make enough now to fufill all that i could want. thats why i switched, from financing the boat to buying it with cash, but it will take a year to save it up. i am looking for drivers right now for hot shot trucks. hard to find them.
