I changed the plugs today. Already had the passenger battery tray out and the Jmb cai so I had tons of room on passenger side. The bellanger long tubes with the stock heat shields gone made the passenger side easy too.

My first passenger front plug #1... The clip that attaches the boot to the plug pulled out. Not the wire from the boot but the clip just stayed on the plug while the boot gently slid off the plug. DAMN. The amount of resistance felt... Or lack of makes it seem like it was already loose. I did my best to put it over the wire and crimp it. But I know I need to get a set of plugs now.

Every OE plug gapped between .048 and .051. They were wore out! Electrode rounded. They all looked the same. No one cylinder looked different. Wasn't carbon up at all.

It fired up nearly instantly and kinda suprised me. Idled much smoother. Test drove... I finally have traction problems with first gear and half of second. It pulled hard and once I had grip it nearly hit redline way before I expected.

Very happy with results.... Now I need to get wires.

I will be buying the coils with the wires. And I'm working out details on buying a polished intake to send off to powdercoat black. ill either do that or have my stocker coated wrinkle black. So more to come.

Why would you get a polished intake and then PC it??

Bet those plugs will help the low numbers...

Its not polished for show. Its sanded down smooth for powdercoat. To get a gloss finish
And yeah the truck feels so much better. My neighbor, and fellow gear head drove the truck yesterday. He rode and drove it right after we changed the plugs, and he said it was unbelievable how much better it felt. Throttle response, power and idle.

good to hear, a full tuneup was next on my list.

oh, and sorry bout that plug wire;).. if i were to guess i would say someone had a problem when they put the headers on......whomever that may have been:dontknow:

You penis... Can't use d![|< my f¥[< got switched to damn .
Lol

Man this thing came off in my hand like pulling spaghetti out the strainer to test for doneness.

How you like that passenger side engine bay.... Big change huh?

HUGE change. i like the look of the Volant better, but i like how it really opened up the engine bay and shows the engine and headers better with the JMB. plus the Volant gave off a "cheap" look cuz it was all plastic.

it will look killer with the black intake.

You still doing the TB, and if so u gunna paint it black to match?

i was gunna pull the headers and get them CC Black this winter, any thoughts on that?

oh yeah, i used plug wire pullers when i did the headers and it still came off. so.....not my fault.lol. i just did what u did and it fired, and like i said, i was gunna do a tune up shortly anyways.

its just a matter of time before he starts to uncover all the duct tape and electrical tape that is holding shit together:aetsch:

Jeff, whatever you do, DONT DUMP THE CLUTCH IN FIRST!!!!!! the axel will fall off. its held on by ducttape:D:p;)

yea, but what about that thing with the twist ties? Think he will find that. And that other thing being held on with hot glue? I hope he doesn't leave it out in the sun for too long. :D

way to set an example MOD

If u said what's in my mind.... U hope the mods would just move it to offensive than to delete my post. Lol I can't believe you broke that wire and left it.

Its still firing but I bet its weak and the increased resistance can't be good on that coil.

Seeing how the gloss black cai shows every scuff and scratch I think I may just wrinkle black it. The truck is shiny enough.

The throttle body will be polished. I want it to contrast and stand out so you know its there.

I think I like the headers the way they are. We will see when the intake and valve covers are black.

I may be making a carbon cai with the tube I have next weekend.

I have AT LEAST 30K on my plugs probably closer to 40K, after 20 or 30 bottles of nitrous think I should change 'em??

hell yeah:toilet::elefant::rock:

with stinker's wires & coils:burnout::rock:
