gen 2 intake vs gen 3?

Jack is right, put your $ into porting the gen III with either Ron or Tony. The troubles of making the dual throttle bodies work will be a pain in the ars.

i have talked to ron, infact he stated on the first page that porting a gen 3 only gains power up top. he also said that the gen 2 is worth 50ft lbs between 2800-4000rpm, since hp is calculated from tq then that means in that 1200rpm window the hp should also increase. using the factory linkage also solves the "problem" of opening the dual throttle bodies, all that is needed is to adapt the truck throttle cable to the factory gen 2 linkage. as far as cost, you could sell your gen 3 intake and throttle body and almost come out even so its WAY cheaper that porting the gen 3. ron said the injectors might be big enough but i want to make absoulty sure before i bolt it on and end up running lean. One more thing to consider is that 70mm throttle bodies are availble for the gen 2 intake so in theory it could flow more CFM than a gen 3 intake, i would guess that a ported gen 2 with the 70mm TB's would have more hp and tq than a ported gen 3 with either the 67mm BBK or Tony's new 68mm TB. with forced induction then it really wouldn't matter too much on the intake since your craming the air in instead of the engine sucking it in.

go to 42lb injectors, get with lokar for the cable boss, hp will be about the same, trq will increase along the midrange

42lb injectors, side feed correct? Just trying to get my research all squared away to make a decision on how I want to go (and ideally what deals to watch for!) :)

Yes the factory gen 2 injectors are side feed, I'm going to call roe today to see if their top feed fuel rails will work with factory gen 3 injectors

Hope you are keeping a detailed list of what you need to buy so it is easy for the rest of us :)
