guess this is a place to ask these sorta questions..i asked couple of locals in houston who in my pov know the their stuff...but never bad to get a second opinion from you guys...........to start off let me say i might become a srt10 owner in the following day or days...

if i get it , im planning on running on the hpt truck shootout...i have all my chevy friends talking about how slow srt10s are blah blah ..but not so sure they raced many with right mods

what will a 2005 qc run with these mods - all cats deleted, magnaflow muffler, cai, tune, 125 wet shot, weight reduction - no spare, no tailgate..

also will a pulley make much difference? if so which one are you guys running,

dont know much about these trucks, will 17' rims fit? so i can run full slicks

Without the spray is guess mid 13's, spraying(assuming it hooks alright) it should be good for mid 12's. Look up the screen name AWDisuzu his QC ran low 12's on spray I belive

^ i see youre tuned by torrie, thru sct.....what was the price for the custome tune....i know these trucks suck on mpg...but with a fuel economy tune done by him how much can i expect on highway ...? i will only use a fuel economy tune when i go out of town and such ......and performance to bring the apocalypse in texas lol

I don't remember the price it was a group buy a while back, 399 sounds right I thnk. Fuel mileage is gonna suck no matter what unless you swap a 6 speed into it or change the rear end ratio to like 3.73's

or 3.92s

I don't think your going to find slicks for the 17's but I could be wrong. If you add Cal Tracs with the MODs you listed with DR's. you should be a low 12.

Yea your gonna need to run 16" x 10" rims(youll have to shave calipers) to run a good slick. And i believe the SCT + 3 tunes is about 350-400 ish. I would imagine you could see high 11's on spray. I might be wrong and he may chime in but PHXPOOLGUYs qc runs 11's on spray.

With the DA right around sea level or less you should run 13.5 @105 stock. With tune, headers, sticky tires and a 1.8 60ft you should be aroud 12.9 @ 110ish, add a 150 shot to that and BAAAMM!!! 11.9 @ 118 ish MPH:burnout:

Damm hope to break 11s by winter time..meanwhile low 12s will satisfy me ..

Yeah I did 13.59 @104.9 stock with just a K&N CAI.

Damn I hit the nail on the head, lol. Unfortunately I was 13.9 on my unmodded SRT10QC BONE STOCK! Of course that was in terrible DA and 95* temperatures. We just rarely get the chance to run in good weather:mad:

Funny. I ran 13.59 @ 102 with just an SCT at 5900 lbs.

To the original poster- I have no traction problems at Royal Purple Raceway in Houston on the stock 22's with the auot QC.

Unless get a h/p torque converter you wont need slicks. I get about 12.5-13mpg @ 75mph on the freeway.
