So today after I finally get the new exhaust finished, I get 15 minutes down the road and my PS pump blows. Now I just installed my tune from Torrie and my fan is set to turn on at 180* but I havn put in my 170* thermostat yet (the gasket for it isn't going to be in until tomorrow). I didn't think it would over work the fan and pump to much to drive it 20 minutes home, but 15 min into my commute my power steering pump started screaming. Did my steering pump get cooked from running my fan to much? I did pass a car at about 5000rpm while my fan was on high (dumbass), did I somehow over race my pump??? They're are no leaks and my truck only has 24k on it. IM LOST PLEASE HELP!!!

i say coincidence, as well...

mine just decided to take a sh!t one day... no symptoms, no nothing... just blew up...

messy, but not a major thing... a few hundred bucks should get you goin...

But the fan is hydraulic and run off the power steering pump.... right? There must be some type of hi/lo valve for when the pump needs to juice up the fan. Right?

My steering fluid looks like metallic red paint.... lol

that's probably a bad thing!!! the fan will now have to be flushed . it will be full of metallic red paint. most times the metallic stays in the fan and will grind away at bearings and seals!!:toilet: and the rack and pinion steering as well crap!!:toilet:

new pump, new rack, e-fan, cooler, lines & juice.

good to go:rock::rock::rock:
