Lol tito that wasn't nearly as interesting as the adventure I went on to find brads.

I used my knowledge of the cat tail like grass that grows only in well draining alkaline soil such as sandy oceanfront, coupled with a hill that is in close proximity of a bike trail and pedestrian walk. I thereby deduced that it must be west coast, probably in California. A search of "Chau" on the sign and I narrowed it down to chautauga which is in a few different states but also was in California. I found a road leading to the chautauga state park that originated near the beach. Using satellite imagery I identified Along that beach was a hill, road, fence, and biketrail then it was just the matter of locating the road sign.

Whole process I did in front of 7 co-workers as a demonstration and it took less than three minutes.

that is some impressive locating skills right there!
But u can't find me though haha :D

I'm about to sleep, but challenge accepted, I could VPN a middle eastern isp, hack the forum anonymously, find your ip, traceroute back to your isp country region state or city

But it would be easier using metadata from various photo sources you provided over the years, decode EXIF Gps geotagging imbedded into your pictures by any Gps enable camera or phone and deduce time date stamps and physical locations when taken.... All without having to visually analyze any background information you mistaking captured in the photos, or unintentional hints in your various posts on the forum.

Put it this way. Last month a guy on another forum posted an arial photo of a carshow in a parking lot that he took over 6 months prior. I provided the name and address of the hotel he stayed in, the floor and room number he was standing in the window when he took the photo. I found a picture from another car show patron from the parking lot that just so happened to have the the side of the hotel and drew an arrow pointing to the exact spot the original photo was taken from. For **** and giggles, I provided the day the carshow happened, who sponsored it, who was awarded trophies in each category, and the rack rate that was charged for his two double bed room

This whole process took me the duration of a commercial break while watching Big Bang Theory on tv.

Thanks,

Folks should post up pics of there Ride in various spots, Jeff will probably get most of them, but I think with us that don't use our phone and use a real camera, might not be as easy. it would still be fun to guess the location as the Viper Truck community travels the world
