Next weekend im putting on my venom coils and wires. I think ive got this whole intake manifold figured out. Ive compiled the tips ive gathered from 17 threads on it.

Ill Need:
T20 torx
7/16 wrench and socket (shallow preferred)
1/4 drive ratchet and 4â€￾/6â€￾ extensions
Flat Screwdriver
T30 socket BEST is 6" T30 torx
Pen Magnet
The intake torque is 95 inch pounds (not ft.pounds)

Remove the TB, Map sensor, IAC motor, power brake hose, injector clips, fuel rails, and valve cover breather line. Remove the clips holding the wiring harness to the intake. These are a pain and will require some prying. There are 5 I believe. Now the intake bolts. All of them are easily accessed either through the slots in the top of the manifold or from the side of the manifold except.......two back lower ones.

This is where you get the T30 socket out and go through the narrow slot in the back. A socket will not work on the drivers side, but will on the passengers side (you cant pass it through the slot though). Have a 6" and 4" extension with you. If you put the socket on the 6" extension first, then using a pen magnet, put the extension through the intake engaging the bolt. Then take the 4" extension and connect it to the 6" that is already on the bolt. Then install your ratchet and remove the bolt.

No need to relive fuel pressure when you remove the intake manifold. Just unbolt the fuel rails from the intake manifold and pull up on the fuel rails. The injectors will stay in the rails and will not leak. Just lay the rails to the side and you'll be fine.

Excellent Jeff !

You don't have to remove the MAP and IAC, nor do you have to remove the fuel rails, and there is a additional hose on the bottom side of the intake near the front.

You can get line disconnect tools to disconnect the fuel line from the rail at the drivers side rear corner of the rail.

I may have left out that the intake may be going for some massaging and powdercoating, before I put a shiny new throttle body on it. Still getting the details on the coat.

I used the torx to put in all of the lower intake bolts and used a wrench on the top ones. Took about 1 1/2 to 2 house to but it on and put the injectors back on.

Ahh, this is a life saver today. I'm killing myself over the last driver's side bolt.

I've been thinking about doing this mod because I don't know of any other low buck mods that I can do. You will also need intake manifold gaskets right? Any other things that need to be bought or should be replaced when installing coils/wires?

You will not need the gaskets, you can re-use yours.

Where can this tool be found to disconnect the fuel rail from the hard line? I used 3 super small flat tip screw drivers.

Plus I welded this up to make the bolts easy to get to and remove and use a magnetic retriever for removal and install.
