Well some of you may have seen my wanted ad for headlights after a little issue with a Mother's Headlight Restore Kit. I wanted to polish the headlights a little before Cruisin the Coast this week. It was nothing bad just a little yellowing and cloudiness on the top flat part of course.
You know nothing bad or anything but I didn't like the way it looked. So I grabbed a Mother's kit because the Meguiar's kit I've used before was all sold out. Well here was the result of the Mother's kit:
I was not at all happy to say the least, the light was so distorted and hazed out of the headlight it was almost dangerous. Not to mention....IT LOOKED LIKE @$$! So after getting no where calling the company, I figured I was on my own and with Cruisin days away I looked for a quick fix by just buying new headlights. Then I got a PM from SRT2SLOW and after exchanging PM's with some tips from him I tried it and it looks 200% better!
It doesn't look brand new but close enough. From 2ft. away it looks perfect but up close you can see the damage from 7 years of exposure and the left over deep scratches from that piece of crap Mother's kit. I'm gonna do the other side and maybe that one will come out better because it won't have all the deep scratches.
