I did... Had a set back to say the least. One of the heads dropped a few valve seats and to take her apart again.

Can that bump in the opening of the intake manifold be ground down?
Pulled the heads removed all the valve seats, and had them install some nice thick new seats. Had them cut for the valves. Everything else remained the same.
I wouldn't try that.

While I was port matching the intake, I grinded down that dump. Not all the way, but down pretty good.

I will be replacing my coils/wires soon and that looks like a good place to massage the intake while I'm in there.
Go to the "Performance Section" and search "Ported Intake manifold Results" and in the second post you will see photos of my ported intake with that hump smoothed down and a "diffuser" installed to direct the air.

I saw that. Is it a good idea to get rid of the hump without a diffuser?
I would have to check what sizes they are, the blower pulley was changed.
