Thanks bud, she sure is a lot more fun to drive, I've got some aluminum 17's I'm gonna see what the tallest Dr I can find is and try that.

As for the guys that only want to stir shit, or cloak negative comments with fake enthusiasm, good luck with that fellas. I'm here cause I love my truck, not to battle BS. I believe it should be left at that ;)

The only people that could possibly take offense to that is anyone that knows what they did. Guess you have a guilty conscious...that's the great thing about blind comments, I dont have to name names for the douchebag to prove me right lol
 
IMO you'll need nothing less than a 32"x12" on a 16" wheel to stick and keep rpms right. 390 drag radial would make your final gear ratio into the 5.20 ratio :burnout: and won't hook from my experience.

Huge difference on the steet, but to get all the good out of them at the track you'd need at least some drag radials. She ran way better at the track to me. Consistent 1-2 tenths even with extra spinning.

I didnt have to change to 5th either. She redlines at 111mph with the 4.88's.

Actually the 4.88's with stock tires give you a theoretical max speed in 4th gear of 116.18 mph at 6050 rpm (factory redline). I figure that this way: tire diameter 31.5" x 3.1416 = 98.96" circumference. Engine revs per hour at 1000 rpm = 60,000 revs. 60,000 divided by 4.88 = 12,295 turns of the tire per hour. 12,295 x 98.96" = 1,216,721.3 " traveled in 1 hour , divided by 12" = 101,393.44 feet traveled in one hour, divided by 5,280 = 19.20 mph per 1,000 rpm in 4th gear. 19.20 x 6.05 (6,050 rpm) = 116.18 mph @ 6,050 rpm in 4th with stock tires. Now if you mount the drag radials (29.5" diameter) top speed in 4th drops to 108.80 mph. Possibly a little more due to tire growth, I actually did 118.15 on drag radials with 4.56 gears (which works out to 6,140 rpm, my rev limiter is set at 6,200 rpm).:rock::burnout:

How is there a huge difference on the street? You realize that a track and a street are just asphalt right? There is no magic track fairy that somehow makes your truck slower at the track, it's the fairy behind the wheel

I don't care tho does not bother me at all, I have gave away tons of stuff to members on here from my truck before & after I traded it in.

I still have a set of smoked headlights waiting for "DAN" when he gets better from his broken leg. I should just drive to his house and drop them off LOL.

Thats why I still come on this forum, cause it's so mixed with peoples personalities :)
 
I dont want someone to just tell me something works bc i have it. If it sucks say it sucks, if it looks dumb, tell me, I want to go fast and do it right. JMHO
