Dyno tuned.CAI, cat back, venomous pulley

Speaking of the stock cams, I read on one of the other forums an old post by MMMMtorque. someone mentioned that just dialing in the factory cam gear netted on his bone stock truck like a 20hp increase with no other mods. Scott, it's the same forum where you also posted the cam I bought from you for sale.

I remember MMMMtorque. I met him in Rockingham a few years back when he still had the 10. It was pretty quick at the time when most people hadn't gotten into modifying these beasts much. Wish I could remember his times......guess I need to dig up some old vids for the heck of it.

If you can find those that would be awesome. The comp cam I bought is the same one he had.

might want to go where i went! LOL

lol. Hey at the end of the day you gained a couple hp and some good tq, that's what matters as others said. the gains you made are real, so that's awesome. just don't throw those peak hp/tq numbers in your signature quite yet lol

the cost of the SCT tuner itself (I already had one) I think they are $375, plus $110 an hour for tuning on the dyno. took 1 hour

A tune was accomplished in one hour?

I watched Chris Jensen spend on average 4-6 hours per truck, but his tunes are perfect ;)

More and more reason why I'm going to have him remote tune my truck with Scott when I go to Texas this summer for my cam install.

Extreme Performance in Avondale, 06SRT10 and a buddy with a Challenger are going out there with me. JAYSRT is supposed to go as well, maybe. :D

Thanks for the info. I have been keeping my ears to the rail on a good dyno tune shop in the valley. I was thinking about a long overdue "sick day" to verify my Torrie tune a meet you. However, work has put me in Yuma Monday:mad:

Who are you trusting to work on your tune?!? Please keep us posted and if you can, bring your dyno sheet to the track on the 22nd.

Cheers!

on a basically stock truck? wow, i'd hate to get the bill on that one.

There was only one stock truck tuned that weekend. Chris prefers to have four hours to work on a vehicle. You have to keep in mind, people work on their own trucks or have someone else do their installs; what is perfectly fine to them, can mean a basket case to the tuner.

Chris is worth every dollar he charges and them some. Until you see a master tuner at work, it is hard to beleive the level of detail that is involved.:)

Ok, let's get back to reality and the fact that there were issues of camshaft retardation on some 10s! Mine I believe is one of those :(
Along with many other QCs my best was 13.9 @ 99 on street tires and spinning through first. :(
I have personally seen two QCs run 13.0 and the other 12.9 one was CAI/Tune/Exhaust (Fahrenheit) the other is bone stock on drag radials!!!! The stock one still races every weekend here in Centex and SHE is consistent 1.9s and 12.9 1/4 mile!!! So from my experience, all Viper Trucks and possibly cars as well, are NOT equal from the factory. Ronnie in Canada has seen this as well and shares a similar view on this matter.

Simple enough is to get it to the track and see. The track tells all truths

Whats the best way to fix that problem? I'm guessing i have that too as my best is 13.7 @101
