Wreck - White paint on my black truck...

My guess it is a writeoff! Chrysler has very few parts for these trucks. Sad but true and the value is poor. They will lowball ya. Take off all the mods ... And some! There are quite a few for sale right now. Get a built one cheap! It is, after all, just nuts and bolts. :(

Go for it mopar. Much appreciated. And wow, I didn't realize how easily these could be totaled... I was thinking it might be a long shot that it was...

I would take off any of the modifications and extras that you can. If you have stock parts, put them on, if the parts you take off, and don't have replacements for, hope it goes unnoticed, or leave them on. Now, I've never done it, but several people I know have, and that is, when their vehicle has been totaled out, they get the check for book value, but then they buy the vehicle back from the insurance (for a much cheaper price of course). I'm just not sure how much, or if all insurance companies do it. But I know a guy that has totaled his car twice, and bought it back twice, and rebuilt it himself.. Good luck!

I think what I'm gonna do is if they total it, I'm gonna buy it back and part it out. Because I don't think I can slip by a truck with no exhaust/ intake/ valve covers/ throttle body/ rad hoses / coolant tanks / shifter without somebody noticing there's only half a truck left. I don't really have any stock parts for her anymore...

Yea, that sounds like your best bet. I'm not exactly sure how it works (the buy back), but let me know what you find out. Is there any way to get email notifications of posts in threads that I've participated in? Or is it just something I have to check?

Man this sucks but will work out. Mine was wrecked just last year a lot worse than this and they paid to fix mine. I think first check I got was a little over 15k. How many miles on your truck because that will play a big roll in the value of truck. They valued my 04 with 50k miles at 21k. Most insurances will spend 65-75% of the value of your truck to fix it. This is what I do for a living so I am real familiar with all this. If you need more info let me know.

Tell that guy to get a moped

Buy it back, I was rearended in one of my land cruisers, parts are very expensive so the INS wanted to total it, so I negotiated with the agent. He gave me more for my truck b.c I showed receipts for 4.88 gears, lift, etc, etc. The I worked him down on what the "salave yard" was going to make me buy it back for. Originally they wanted like $1500 taken off the value of the check they were going to write to me to just let me keep the truck in my drive way, similar position you are in. So I talked them down to $500 and the value of the truck up a couple thousand and came out way ahead. Even is you dont have "receipts" I'm sure you are smart enough to figure out how to have "receipts". I then put on some nice aftermarket bumpers and had extra money in my bank account.

WHAT YOU DID WAS FRAUD!! YOU SHOULD HAVE PAID FOR EVERYTHING OUT OF POCKET!! IM CALLING THE LAW ON YOUR ASS!!

They already have access to everything who gives a wizard of OZ flying monkey.
No I had receipts, the build sheet and the emails talking about all the work the shop was going to do so it was all legit and negotiating is not fraud

bmxam, my truck is VERY similar in mileage save that it's an 05. I would have to go out and check, buy I want to say it has 300 less miles or so, maybe 49,700.

Theres no way that will get totaled, looks like a big dent lol. I smoked a curb and blew the rear axle out of mine :)
