How difficult is it to remove the bed?

I was thinking it would be a lot easier and probably faster to do the suspension work if the bed was off.

Is it a lot of work? Can a couple of guys lift it off or is it too heavy?

6 or 8 bolts and lift off with two or three guys. Most technicians do this to swap fuel pumps as it's faster and no worries about removing heavy, full tanks of gas and all lines dropping tank. ;)

What suspension work though? For a drop kit it's not worth it. For custom 4 link or tubbing/fabbing yes it's easier. :burnout:

I just dropped my tank, of course the bastard was full of fuel, after I had it out I wished I would have just lifted the bed. It would have been way easier.

I was thinking of removing it because i'm dropping the truck and would make the suspension swap a lot easier.

It won't make it any easier really since most of work to do a drop kit Haas to be done under the truck anyways. Don't waste your time

Yeah, maybe your right. Was just thinking it would be cool to do.

Sometimes I have a habit of making more work for myself than is necessary. This might be one of those times...

The beds are heavy. I usually use 1 guy at each corner. Then you have to worry about supporting it - you can't just rest it on the bed fenders.
