I have only been able to find the Fidanza aluminum flywheel from Roe Racing.

On my Avenger I was able to purchase a steel flywheel that has lots of holes drilled out around the edges of the flywheel where the clutch does not contact the flywheel to reduce weight but stay very strong.

I liked the idea of a aluminum flywheel but a lightened steel one was like 1/3 the cost of a aluminum one.

What do you guys use other than the factory stuff?

Here it is:

Ive never heard of anything other than the Fidanza. Maybe Scott could fab one up out of steel like you were talking about.

there is supposed to be a chromoly option out there also

I had a Fidanza on my first truck and paid $400 for it. The only issue I had was surging / bucking at slow speeds in a parking lot. I believe this was a combination of the aluminum flywheel and 4.10 gears.

Or operator error :)
I have 4.56 and a QC with Centerforce and no surging/ bucking. I recommend them for every build

It could have been that too, I have been known to be wrong once, maybe twice..... :D

Nah, really depends on clutch and proper break in. Otherwise for example, I can let out the clutch slowly on my truck and never touch gas pedal, and smoothly take off with no noise, chattering, bucking whatsoever. Think I've found the perfect combo for sub 1000hp trucks :chain:

Interesting. My SPEC clutch does the same thing. Can let the clutch out and give no throttle easily... with zero bucking.

i believe your bouncin off the damper springs:rock::rock::rock:

What's that mean?

When I rented a Viper in Hawaii, it behaved the same way. Could let the clutch out slowly and not have to give it any throttle.
