Need Help Liftgate

Ok two options really from your body man/Viper Nut.
Break the handle (cheap plastic and usually break anyways and get you a paintable one
Option two, try this first as option one. Lmfao
Under tailgate and rear of bed you should see two wires. Usually come out Tailgate drain and snake under bed, into drivers kick panel (left foot area that includes scuff plate on entryway.
Bring a 12 volt battery and jumper cables and start at the tailgate to see if the problem lies in wiring to cab.
Momentarily touch cables to wires and remove. Do you hear actuator??
Reverse cable positive and negative to lock/unlock. One way will lock, swap pos. for neg. and now solenoid/actuator will unlock. Not even sure a locksmith could get in. Just looked at mine

Don't know if this helps...I just went outside, gently pushed a plastic wedge into tip of tailgate..then I was able to grab the lock handle from the cover, with a coat hanger(actually a stiff door unlock rod).no dammage..took 5 mins

its a normal door lock switch, two wires connect, usually they are ran down the drivers side from the tail lamp, to the cab , some do them different, you will need to find the wiring, apply 12 volts to one, ground the other, see if the mechanism is working , it could be the wires are broken somewhere, but apply the 12 volts to the system, see if it unlocks, or if it locks, then reverse the polarity.
its a very primitive unit, easy to work on.
if the solenoid is faulty, then you will need to use a rod, go thru the gate and the cover, to hopefully catch the unlock lever on the cover.

If it use to make noise when it wouldn't open I would think the wires are good. When they go they usually get weaker and weaker to the point where they just quit.

Ok i need help I've tried everything i can't get the fing thing unlocked

Have you checked the splice/wire tap connections where ever the lock wiring connects into the door lock wiring? My lock has it's own wire loomed harness that runs all the way up into cab and splices in under dash by left pedals.

Ok 60$ later i got it fixed and wont have that problem again. Least now i can fill the bottle.
