10 Quickest SRT10's

Been to the track twice with it. First time couldn't hit third gear. Second time not much better only ran once. 13.1 so far. Frustrating Because the truck pulls 1.6 60'ers

Don't worry about it,just somebody trying to start trouble.

I agree with Tony, because I too find this list interesting. I want to see if we find it interesting for the same reasons.

Tony isn't trying to start trouble. I PM'd him on VOTW when I started this thread, asking him to come check it out. I started a thread there too, but it didn't garner much attention.

What I find interesting (since nobody asked) is that as I have researched this, I've seen a distinct trend: The VTCoA can be broken into time periods. The first time period would be when the forum is started. Silverback, Django, and others were the most prevalent posters during this time. The next chapter would be with Nowwhat, Sawyer, and many others. This was a cool time period because you had guys with $$$ trying to outrun each other. Once those guys finished spending big bucks to make 5000-6000 pound bricks go fast, the forum got quiet until the JTSVP crowd livened it up. This was the time where Santeen, Wes, and others were posting a lot. That gave way to the short reign of Hank. That's about the time I came around. After Dom and Tony had their, uh, meeting, the forum changed again. Now it's the VPRPWRD's, VenomTruck's, and DOWORKSON's that post most often. My conclusion after reading tens of thousands of old posts is that although our trucks haven't really gotten much quicker during their existence, we have gotten better at going quicker. In the beginning, guys spent serious money building power - which made them quick. Now that a bunch of us poor guys own these trucks, we are forced to try and go quicker on a budget. Overall, we've done a good job of that. We not rely on good 60', less weight, and overall better driving, to get better ET's. I still think there are a half dozen or so 10 second trucks that are not on our list. But since I can't verify those times, I'm not adding them.

actually sorry, I had started typing, and got a call, and evidently hit the button,

but its interesting to look over the past years, see all the different builds, drivers, trucks, combinations seeing who has done what, and how quick some have gotten, and er a LOL some of the fibs being told.but interesting

being around them so long, you get used to how much x makes, so much mods make and how quick they are,

cool thing is the trucks are making really a few nice strides compared to the cars, those guys most of the time go after the big hp, where as a lot here are going after what we can afford,

either way interesting reading for sure

Thank you for clarifying. It is very cool to see, as Chris pointed out, the different generations.

Thanks for posting, Viper. You are on my list of people to PM and ask if your truck has ever been down the strip or not?

Hey, I'm still on the list....I thought I was knocked off.....and I bought my truck in 2004 and have been on this forum since meeting "Nowwhat" and Chris Jensen out at LACR in Lancaster back in 06. I've enjoyed every minute....with many more fun times to come! Luv you guys!

I guess my take on the past 7 years is a little different, but not so important it's worth sharing.

You really need two lists, one with documentation and one without. Documentation=Time slip and video. Guinness doesn't take peoples word for it, why should we. I know, to harsh

I'm down with that

WADR, your thinking is flawed. But, for the sake of discussion, which of the people currently on the list don't have time-slips?
