Viper Owners Association

Some of us have been working on this for over a month. Great conversations and encouraging emails. The VTCoA on it's own (even organized) has no chance at a relationship with SRT. Some of us are trying to change that and build this into something even better.

I've thought that if there was more for Viper Truck Owners to do through out the year, it would encourage conversation and excitement. it's going to be hard, however, I really think it can be done.

I know there is going to be some push back, not only from the Viper Owners but also from the Viper Truck Owners (reasons too numerous to count) however, the door is open and we need to risk, to gain. maybe thats been some of my frustrations as of late. Working really hard to benefit the Viper Truck Owners (with nothing personally to gain) and we can't seem to pursue a common goal.

Bear with me, I will do everything I can to bring the Viper Truck more into the SRT spotlight and even if I fail, I know it was a challenge worth taking up for the Badest truck ever built. I will not make everyone happy, I'm sure I will piss off a few....

Jay has been a tremendous liaison with the Viper Owners Leadership. We can do this

Thanks Jeff, and I will continue what I am doing as my hope is for all that are interested to be able to join a organization that is recognized world wide, has the backing of Chrysler/Mopar and SRT. Which I feel we need more as our trucks where never really in the lime light, will never be produced again and climbing in age.
For the VTCoA I think this is what is needed for longevity and organization plus pulling both cars and trucks together as a brotherly community.

Just tried to join and it will not accept either of my email addresses???????? Sent an email to an admin, so we'll see what happens........

We ought to just call it the VTCoA Owners Association now that I think about it. As we haven't had the split the the Viper folks have had.

I just don't want it to seem like we are not considering Canada, Europe, Asia, The Middle East and Down Under

Thoughts

Jeff,

I know or at least can imagine how much work this must be.

Europe does not feel as being forgotten.

Once we get the chance to help with supportive work. Just let us know.

We are in the planning stage of 2014's SRT10 GTG.

If there should be a strategy to let the SRT guys officially know
about it, then we will do it.

Not true. And Im not being disrespectful Jeff, so dont read this like I have a negative tone. When I set up the VTCoA FB page, I was in contact with SRT and they wanted to work with us and even invite us out to some major events. I tried like hell to get people excited and involved, but nobody really seemed to care. So I stopped caring. I know I sent out a few emails, asking for assistance with this. Again, not bitching about it, just saying that there was a small window that we may have missed. I also posted a few threads about structure, and organization within the VTCoA. Not much happened there either. :dontknow:

Our 2014's SRT10 GTG will be again on a racetrack.
But this time on a high speed oval, just to remind
everyone that just 10 years ago (in 2004) we set
a new world record on an oval high speed track

We will also invite Viper drivers....

This is a track picture at a speed of 120 mph :D

Sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would love too.........

You actually made my point.

I dn't think even at this that Viper Truck Guys by the 1000's will come out of the wood work and go to events. But if the success that we have had in Ohio can be shared elsewhere, we have a chance. The Europe GTG is a great opportunity. It is organized and well put together and when presented to the Viper Club in Europe, I think it will be a hell of an event

I have been in contact with some of the SRT guys for a few years. Invites have been posted in the past such as the Amelia Island show (Concours d'Elegance?? I don't remember). No one even jumped at the chance at FREE tickets.
This past month however a few of us (myself, Tony and Chief) attended the Petit le Mans at Road Atlanta with VIP tickets and hung out with the SRT guys. We had my VCA, Chiefs CE and Tonys Challenger. While it wasn't huge, it was the best showing they have seen from us. 2 trucks, but at least they were rare ones.. lol. Still if anyone gets an invite from SRT to attend a race, you should really go.
They said they would let me know again this year about the Amelia Island show. Maybe we can get a better turnout this year.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. No matter what club, group, organization, etc there is always a small group that actually participates. This is no different, many prefer to be on sidelines, others in shadows. As an owner/enthusiast of one of these very limited & unique vehicles, I prefer to participate. Count me in..

Same here, I jump on the tickets to the inaugerial Viper race at Mid-Ohio in August last year. A CE, an Inferno red 06 and my Silver 04 where the only trucks amoung a sea of Vipers and handful of Challengers, Jeeps, and SRT-4's
But I was able to meet a bunch of people and those contacts are what I've been using to help with.

UPDATE; The Ohio Viper Club is revamping their website now, and are adding a Viper Truck section. I was requested to email them a bunch of pictures of 10's for this. Slowly but surely we are making some progress.:D

Does it have to be owners trucks from that region?
