Hey guys, we just grabbed a handful of GoPro's and have been playing around with them. What is a good, east to use software program for editing videos? Just to do simple things like putting clips together, adding music, stuff like that.

PC for me and I'm also interested in the answer.

PC, and no with the belt. I have been too busy playing in the snow!

Kinda waiting to see how Charlie makes out with the 12 rib setup and will probably go that route.

I just watched a long youtube video from some guy who does it as a profession and he recommended Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Anyone agree, or disagree?

AVS video editor.
Cheap and it allows me to do PIP, add audio tracks, titles, transitions, convert to other file formats and probably more that I don't need.

Windows movie maker does all that and usually installed on many PCs as well ;)

I use Edius Pro 7. The best software based program out there hands down. Edit any format video in the same timeline and master to a file or DVD without any conversion. Try that with any other editor. Won't happen. Don't get Premiere unless you like crashes and freezes. I have AVID and Premiere Pro but prefer Edius Pro. Avid and Premiere Pro have more bells and whistles but accompanied with headaches from crashes and freezes not to mention the price tag of each.

Using Edius Pro I did this video with 3 different video formats and 2 different resolutions (HD and SD) while talking to Chris doing his girly squats, telling ViperJeff to get to work on the Registry and teaching Dom how to race a truck while Trainman was waiving his JC Penny card at the finish line to Dom.

Brad, when a guy sits down and considers trying to build his own video, its when he realizes....That's a shit ton of work and thought that goes into it.

You obviously know how to use Edius, but for someone who has no clue about any of this shit and wants to piss around with it, is it somewhat simple to use?

It's user friendly and recommend it. I had Edius less than a half year prior to that video.

You will need patience ! Like learning a new language! there is new terminology. Youtube and google will be great teachers. You just need to put in the ass time!!

Brad was a great speed teacher on this subject to me last year. I'm no Martin Scorcese but can trow a vid together :D

Ok, so now I have some decent videos. What online site do I use to upload them to that doesn't compress the shit out of them and make the quality go to hell?
