As the attendants at the car was were finishing up my truck a friendly police officer pulled up and got out of his SUV. He came up to the window, looked the truck over and asked for my license and registration. :dontknow: Then he says, “If you ever need someone to drive for you, let me know.â€￾ “I’m sure I am way down on the list but keep me in mind.â€￾ :drool: My bride asked if I offered to let him drive. :shot: No and I won’t but the next time I see him I plan to pull him over and ask if he would like a ride in my beast :rock:

different:rock::rock::rock:

been pulled over twice, so the cop could get a good look at her:dontknow::rock:

did you give him your license and reg? If you were not driving on the road and doing something against the law " speeding" , you should have told him to shove it..

Never had that happen in my SRT but had it happen once in my 2006 TL and then in my 2008 TL-S

Miss those cars...

The guy never looked at DL or registration, he was playing. Remember, he's got a gun. duh :chain:

When I take him for a ride I will have a friend and that is the whole idea. :rock:

Get video next time you say this to a cop.

Ditto, if no video then it didn't happen. My old age tells me one can get more flies with honey than with vinegar. :rock: Try picking up the local cops tab for lunch and see if there is any leeway next time he stops you. :rock: They are human and would like to be treated just like the rest of us. My past (I recently moved to a new town) local chief always asks how my wife is doing and is the purdy truck still running good. He even does not charge me when my home alarm goes off by accident. Checks on my ailing bride when I am out of town (no jackwagon, she is 78 and he is early 50's). Some such as do unto others. :dontknow:

Anyway, he will get a ride if he would like one. Can also bet he will be Johnny on the spot if I need him. :D

I agree. As much as them randomly stopping or road block stopping you asking for ID isn't legal, it still avoids a massive pain in the butt later. The slightest amount of friendly has kept the cops here lookin out for me for sure. :rock:
