SUPER SNAKE HOOD

One of those hoods at the end of the rear cowl ends abruptly, and one of them extends a bit toward the windshield. Which is which?

Can we get a profile shot of each Scott?

Scott, you can ship to STL can't you. He doesn't have to make the trip & still gets his hood. Win-Win.

Sure here ya go sir :D
As said, the SuperSnake Hood we sell has no tail, taller cowl with sharper edges and heat extractors are raised.
Venom hood has rounded edges, tail on cowl, and heat extractors aren't as pronounced.
Both great looking hoods in their own right. Different strokes for different folks ;)

With those louvers on both hoods, it seems it will let a lot of water into the engine compartment.:dontknow:

SS HOOD looks way better, not a fan of the tail almost touching the windshield! Lol

I'm going to be real nice, given some of the acquaintances I have with this hood; most if not all of them because the Venom hood was not available at the time. So I'm not going to trash their hood. But for you to say it looks "way better" gives serious question to your overall quality of taste.

Agreed, I think the Venom hood looks way better

I like the smoother-edged hood actually. And I like the fact that the hood extends toward the windshield. Call me crazy but it just looks more streamlined.

Again that's why our country still rocks as we can all personalize and customize our rides how WE want. If they all looked the same it would be a boring world full of the same SRT -10 pics over and over. We have much variety and taste out there so to see different hoods on different trucks with different paint schemes is awesome!!
Now I've owned 2 Venom hoods and I DO NOT like the tail almost touching windshield wipers when open, did not like the prepping of the Venom hood as it required over a gallon of body filler and fiberglass to make it look decent. Crooked cowls, sunken cowl, hinge plate mount in fiberglass was wavy, and never fit correctly to fender lines. I will say that was the Gen1 venom hood. They've gotten a lil better since.
The SuperSnake hoods I've done were cleaned of mold release agents, primed, blocked and no waves, repairs, filling of low spots, nada! They are perfect!! Topside and bottom. The cowl is rather straight versus being curved, there are vents in the cowl to prevent hood fluttering at high speeds. Just a better overall hood in quality and looks. Again this only my opinion, but I'm a painter so I've painted hundreds of aftermarket hoods in my life.

Here are some of a painted one to help ;)

Scott, I respect your approach with this, and agree completely. Variety is good. I have no issue with someone coming on here stating why they make like one product over another. But for Venom or anyone else to make a generalization......well, it gets under my skin.

I like the stock look:rock:

Carbon Fiber even better:rock::drool::rock:
