Why are you people taking your truck to have the oil changed? It's the simplest thing

Cause I too old and fat to get under the truck. One plastic knee and the other one with sympathy pains it just ain't worth the effort to get up and down and up again to change the oil. Sides, I know where Wal-Mart for the cheap price on oil and filters and the at the oil change place love to hear my exhaust.

I just changed my oil with Castrol 0w-30 and I left the previous oil filter on. Total cost for oil change, $9. Beat that!

Ive heard that the filter actually works a little better if you leave it on a few times. In other words change the filter every other oil change. I dont do this nor do I truly believe it works, just what Ive heard.

Because its a $30 filter that's good for probably 20k miles on a clean engine. I change filter every 3rd oil change. (Every 10k miles)

What filter is $30?????????? The best for our truck is the white Viper OEM filter, $15 at the dealer.......I don't trust any filter for that long, even the "PRAISED" Amsoil one's.
