HELP, SOMETHING FELL OFF

I had a similar experience to you but mine was a loud noise. Couldn't find anything wrong at all. Puzzled me for a couple days then I found my carrier pin sticking thru the differential housing cover. It took a few days to poke thru the cover.

Pretty sure it's not the rear-end. Truck drove home smooth and only has a slight rattle over bumps.

Mine drove smooth too. Like nothing happened and no sign of any visible issues including the rear end. Then I found the pin sticking out of the diff cover 2 days later. Just saying........ your problem might be something totally different.
