I will be coming to Linz,Austria for a busness trip but we decided to take a couple extra days at end of it to rent a car and go for a ride .So from Sept.27th till Oct 5th .On the 3th and 4th we will drive from Linz to Munich,Germany, then to Zurich ,Switzerland ,next day we go to Milan Italy then hoping to get to Venice, Italy to sleep before getting on plane Sunday .

I have the VTCOA new banner and can bring it with me if anyone wants to sign it .
Only thing I ask is we can't drive off our route or we cant make it to Venice in time if we do so I will need to meet up at a restaurant or someplace on the route .

Hi,

I will try to get some of our Austrian and southern German guys to hopefully be able to meet you somewhere. It is the time of the Oktoberfest in Munich, so it will be very hard to get hold of anybody (not drunk :D)

Lets give it a try.

Thanks for the info and have fun on our side of the pond

Pretty amazing that 600 miles takes you through several countries. Here it the states that won't get you out of Texas. Have a great trip!!

Don't think so since my drive will be mostly weekend stuff figured they would be closed :dontknow: Kind of going to play it by ear once we hit the road .If we find something we really want to see or do plans may change on the spot :D

Looks like I'm headed back to Austria for 10 days next week.
Yall make sure the cold weather stays away till I leave to come home.

Are you going to visit a injection machinery production ?

We are purchasing a turn key production line from Elmet in Linz .

It is the molding machine robotic arm and silicon pump .It is a Thermoset line not a Thermoplastic one .

They have our 600 ton Engle moulding machine and the robot and pump and have to show us that is can run 24 hours straight before we hand them $1.2 million dollars for it . Then I have to disconnect all electrical hook-ups and bring a rigging crew in to ship it out of Austria before the weather goes to crap to its new home in Houston ,Texas .

And hope I can do all this and get home before Thanksgiving .
