IAC or TPS problem?

Not that anyone cares, but maybe this will help someone down the road with the same problem.

Cleaning the IAC valve definitely fixed the issue. Now... it may start to stick again, and if so, I will just buy a new one (~$50-55, I believe), but it is a simple fix, and something to check before taking the truck to the dealer unnecessarily.

But at least my diagnosis was correct, and an easy fix to rectify what was a very annoying driveability issue.

Just did the same too mine, tried TPS no change, it must have been when I had the manifold off recently. Popped that sucker off hit it with the brake clean and a scotch brite, reflashed the tune coz I can:D Just to be safe. Good to go.

Ok guys I removed my manifold to do the wires and the truck ran fine I out the manifold back on and now I have idle surge I've cleaned the lac valve and it didn't seem to help any ideas and btw I did remove the sensors to paint the intake anyway to properly adjust the tps

If you didn't change TB or adjust set screw and correctly installed TPS by preloading it just counterclockwise of mounting holes, then rotate into position, you should be fine. Disconnect battery for a bit and reconnect. Ensure all vacuum hoses are connected. (One under intake, one under TB)
Ensure nothing got stuck between manifold and gaskets. O rings on gaskets were good?

I don't think I mounted tps that way I'll try that tonight while the battery is disconnected and see if that helps thanks
Also guys if you can help when I get my alt checked on the car it says bad regulator but when I take it off the truck and have it tested its fine can anyone help with this looks like I have 2 good alt

Check/clean all the Ground contacts. inspect all wiring harness for cracks or breaks.
