Who's out in California?

I kinda met someone from this forum in Livermore a few days ago. He had a Silver quad cab, lowered. He said he was from Modesto. Never gave me his name. Oh well. I think he might have been fighting with his girl when I saw him.

Well when he and his girl are good again, or he finds a new one, he can come too. I'm sure E or yourself might run into him if he's from Modesto before I do. Thanks Noid.

I am in Bakersfield, Ca. In about a month my truck should be on the road again. After a few break-in miles I will be making some 1/4 mile passes at Famoso Drag Strip. It should be very exciting and a perfect excuse for having all my forum brothers meet!

There are no track dates in July (too hot). Famoso schedule is as follows:

August 22: The Red List

Sept 12-13: Test and Tune

Sept 26: Test and Tune

Oct 31 : Test and Tune

Lets make the get together and meet on one of these dates.

Let's do it! Majority votes win for the best date.

I will be coordinating the first runs for the new truck. Greg Good from Houston, Todd and Eric from A&C Performance, Kevin and Jim from Exotic Engine Development, and Justin from JMB are all going to be invited along with Mopar Action Magazine to do an article on the build. Of course SRTBrad will be there for the first rate video work! Keep an eye on the Truck Build thread on this forum for the progress of the truck. I hope to have it at A&C within the week to install the engine and begin the custom work needed to complete.

Sounds super exciting Jerry. Can wait to see the finished product and Brad's videos of it!

Hey guys, I'm here to gauge interest in the possibility of a SoCal sport truck owners get-togethers open to all makes and models. Since moving back to SoCal in 2013 I've been working hard to revitalize the SoCal Lightning/Harley-Davidson community and slowly its turning around. I'd like to expand to include all makes/models of sport trucks.

I'd like to organize regular get togethers where we can display the unique sport truck makes/models (Lightnings, HDs, SRT-10s, Syclones, 454 SS, Lil' Red Wagons, R/Ts, etc.) along side the dime-a-dozen Mustangs, Challengers and Camaros.

Here in San Diego we have Race Legal, Barona Drags and JBA Speed Shop's monthly Coffee & Cars. In addition to these local events I'd like to organize get-togethers three or four times a year for the SoCal region, maybe even some track outings.

I'm open to feedback and suggestions. You can PM me here, Lightning Rodder or National Harley Truck Owners Club.

Yes sir!

Equally off topic, does VTCOA have a forum following the locations of these trucks? A good friend of mine is one of your former members, Goose. He had an opportunity to buy back his old truck but the dealership sold it out from under him. I'm curious whether its current owner is a VTCOA member, its #1,757 of 3,057 in 2004.

You would have a better chance of finding the location of the truck through viperregistry.com

If he has the last 8 of the vin number I can possibly find the information of the current owner.

My camera(s) are ready. Jerry's truck is almost done. We have a few people wanting a date to get a GTG together. Jerry what is your proposed date you want to make your first passes at Famoso? Justin should have our $400 ready by now.
