real basic aren't they  pick up a short block from the earlier post and get it done mate. Plan B get the crank reground put the block in a cooker and buy some forged pistons. Good, project and all from there is forward...

Block was sent in, the crank has been turned .010 thou , and waiting on parts to start showing up, I think they said last piece was the cam since it has some surface scars on it

Tony built mine, good to go , I have 2500 miles on mine and 1500 on the transmission and brakes. Weekend warrior these days...

I’m in no hurry , it’s been down for a year, and it’s almost winter time here, so I wouldn’t be driving it in the snow, as long as it’s done by spring time ! Oh hell Yea

Decided to pick up the valve covers and Intake today so I can powdercoate them, good thing I removed the baffles, I did not know it had the sponge in the under side , can I replace it?

Yea it feels like thick foam, not like a sponge

It is EXACTLY THE SAME "stuff" they use for filter-media on saltwater fish-tanks.

If it isn't available at a dealer, you can always count on your local pet-supply house to help you source materials for your Viper engine. :)

Clean the bolts/holes with solvent and use some thread-locker so they don't fall out after you bolt the plate back on.

I thought it looked familiar.
