Hi all. My name is Denny. I live just north of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and just northeast of Spokane, Washington. Glad to be here on the forum. Have enjoyed reading your comments for some time. I have a 2004 black six speed. 1200 miles. Still perfect and original. However, I did put on a Truxedo roll-up Tonneau cover and added a Bed Rug, neither of which have infringed on the truck’s originality. Also changed out and saved the unused original Scorpions. Hankook’s now. Just got the truck last summer from a collection. Wanted one when they first came out but refused to pay the dealer over-sticker mark-ups. So here I am 14 years later with what I wanted in the first place, for less money. I'm okay with that. Besides now that I'm 72 maybe I'll survive with it a little longer (smile) than when I was younger. Seriously, when I bought the truck I had kind of forgotten what it was like to drive a stick with more than a little horsepower to grab. Back in the day I had a lot of muscle - from a Hemi Road Runner to a 427 three-deuce side pipe '67 Vette along with a whole lot of others. Did my share of NHRA meets too. Truly loved all of those. Even held the H/Stock strip record at Dragway 42 outside of Cleveland when I was in high school. To that end I really like how my truck runs and drives now that I've put almost a thousand miles her. Re-awoke comes to mind. I am soon going to order a Hellcat Challenger 6-speed. That should do it for good. But I don't have the garage space for both the SRT-10 and the Challenger. My stuff does not sit outside. So the truck is for sale. If I don't sell the SRT-10, she'll become my weekend "happy car" for the duration. Can't loose either way. My SRT-10 is on the Hemmings web site if you know someone that might be interested. By the by, my other wheels are a 2018 Golf R, a '57 Chevy 210 Townsman, and a 2018 Harley Breakout 114. A little history for ya'all: I rode home in the Chevy when it was delivered on day 1. Inherited it before I could drive. It's been everywhere, all over the country. I drove it to work for 45 years. My hands are the only ones that have ever touched it. She's still great, and still a beauty, but semi-retired now. Oh yea, I have a motor home and car trailer too. Benefits of being an empty nester and single (smile). One of my biggest future challenges is figuring out which of my sons will get the 57 when I pass. Both grew up in it, are serious car guys themselves, and adore the car. What does a dad do for second place, so to speak? And so I wax philosophical and digress. Like I wrote earlier, glad to be here. My apologies for the rambling.
