Dumb Question

So I've had my truck a year and a month, and didn't notice something until today. I see a switch of some sort, that's just above the emergency brake release handle, that says "Pedal". What in tarnation is it for? I'm afraid to touch it, until I know what it does. Anyone know?

Ah Happy Anniversary then

Thanks Kiwi! Wish I was farther along with the upgrades I want, but it is what it is. Darn Gulfstream Aerospace hasn't allowed any over time in three months, and it sucks. My O/T is what I've used to do the things that I want to the truck. Oh well, I guess it's better than being unemployed like so many are these days.

The govt blew it, They gave special dispensation to two travellers on compassionate grounds and they both have it and have travelled the length of the North Island. Stupid young naive inexperienced govt trying too hard to look like they care.
Dang! So how many cases now?

We have a Rolls Royce service facility here in NZ and they have contracts for servicing a lot of airlines that fly through here. They have just let I think 400 skilled people go. Not good at all.
I will not be doing anything to my truck this year. We need to get moved to new area and settled in. Next year will be better for the truck. Under drive pulley, refurb front suspension, sort out gear selection issues....the good old kiwi way. Maybe even a 4.56 rear. May even get a Dyno run and a track day. We shall see. Oh year a track day here is on a road race circuit not a drag strip.
Our local track will be Levels Raceway. They have truck racing there. https://southcanterburycarclub.org.nz/ Check them out here

The kiddie govt we have let 2 Brits into NZ then out of quarantine on compassionate grounds. Did not test them even tho they were symptomatic and they have now been in contact with over 300 people. Just a joke. What a complete waste of time the lockdown was. All that has been achieved is bankrupting the country, businesses and now people.

Trust me, you are not in this alone, everything is jacked up :(. I honestly believe this is an election year ploy. What's gonna happen next year when the Flu comes back, is everyone going to freak out and cower under their beds again? The world economy cannot sustain the level of shut down that we've experienced recently.
In other, more happy news, your truck doesn't have a 4.56 rear end? Mine does, and it's factory. If your going to go with that, may I suggest you also have a Detroit Tru Track chunk installed as well. It can handle up to 1150 pound foot torque. I'm going to get one, hopefully in a few months. Don't forget to replace the wheel bearings as well.

Thanks for the read!
There was also a mini-series released in 1997 about this called "The Arrow" which was quite well done.
There are some truly innovative/brilliant people on this planet.
It's really too bad so many accomplishments are hammered by politics.

Here's an interesting read for you Ronnie. I stumbled across it this morning. If it wasn't for Canadian Engineers, the US may have lost the space race to the Soviets. Kudos to our Canadian friends!
