Yup they can’t keep building these beast forever carbon credits are going away and it cost more to purchase from other manufacturers.

Gee, I'm soooo happy we have the Bidum administration...........
We have a Labour and Greens govt led by a socialist, young idealist. Everything she touches turns to shit.
We are now charging our electric cars off a coal power station because of the extra demand. Her lesbian predecessor banned new coal mines, so now we have the Huntly Power station which has it's own coal next door, not being allowed to use it. State owned enterprise Coal Corp were bankrupted by the govt and now we have to import 1m tonnes of dirty low grade coal from Indonesia rather than use our high grade. There is a truck and trailer leaving the port of Auckland with 30 tonnes of coal every 3 minutes 24 hours a day. Crazy stuff.
Here is the funny part if we use our coal that is counted in carbon if we import then the country of origin pays the carbon. So now we are closing our one and only oil refinery and will be importing all our fuel for the same reason. All so miss fancy pants can parade around on the global stage going 'look at me, look at me' we are carbon neutral. It is just an accounting game. All smoke and mirrors. Is it going to improve anything ....NO!
But it will get her a Nobel prize and a seat at the UN which is one better than her predecessor Helen Clark

We have some whiny "leaf-lickers" in our province next door (British Columbia), that complain about the greedy oil producers in Alberta.
British Columbia exports around 30 MILLION TONNES= (66 Billion, 138 Million, 690 thousand pounds) of coal to China, and other countries every single year.
So, in other words: "We love making money off of our coal exports as long as you go and burn it somewhere else as it is filthy and pollutes the shit out of the air".
Meanwhile back in Alberta, the oil industry is responsible for TWO percent of the CO2 emissions (TWO). The federal government puts ridiculous restrictions on oil producers and, well, they comply.
The production of cement produces approximately 6 times the CO2 emissions of the "Oilpatch", (depending on who you talk to) yet our federal government approved a 1.1 Billion Dollar cement plant in Quebec (huge Liberal Voter Base) without an environmental review.
A LARGE amount of taxes leave Alberta directly to benefit Quebec and the federal government yet Albertans receive VERY little back.
The world is definitely broken.

Yeah, it's a sad state of affairs these days. Leave it to liberals to ruin the world. At least you don't have illegals pouring across the border, bringing exotic diseases with them to infect us.
Half this country hates our dirty oil but sure loves the proceeds from it
Our lot of our climate warriors keep complaining we don't as good a health system as Australia or Norway, they forget that these countries are wealthy from mining and oil and gas. We have high quality coal we are not allowed to mine and large gas reserves we are not allowed to drill for. I just tell them that is the price you pay for being green. An ever decreasing health and education system.

The climate has been changing since time began and nothing we do will stop that. There is a time chart on google that shows the last 800k years. All the ice ages and all the warm periods. We are approaching the warm period. Then we flip straight back into an ice age for the next 50-70k years.
I would love to be a fly on the wall when it starts to cool again. It only takes a few wild fires and volcano's at the same time, filtered sun and bingo we get cooler. Gee isn't that happening now? I wonder if??
