    Hello everybody,
i'm new here with my QC, let me you a bit about my story.
As a kid my dream car was a blue Viper GTS with white stripes, luckily life was good to me and i got a ride in exact that car in Whistler Canada.
So in 2004, when i was 16 years old i told my father we need to go to an car dealer in Munich, because there is a car we need to see.
It was the RAM SRT-10, my heart said yes, my father said no.

Now (or let's say one year ago) after i forgot about a SRT RAM, by chance i got offered a Yellow Fever QC.

This time is said yes, even the car was not running.
    Engine/trans was out...
But now the drivetrain is back into the car and it's running.
Still need to do some minor work, but 2022 it should be back in the road.

    Regards from Munich
    Max

    Hi Max-

I was fortunate enough to snag my 2005 QC brand new in the Spring of 2005.

They are a lot of fun and versatile as a performance/people hauler.

There is a lot of good information on this site.

    Enjoy yours!

How did you manage to find an engine and tranny? Did you have to contact someone in the USA, or locally?

The engine and trans were included. The engine was out because of a failed valve seat.

    Wanted to keep you updated.
The car is running now, but need some minor works.
I've orderd some Dash lines for the oilcooler, cause these are leaking.

And the LPG system needs to be completed.

I forgot to mention, the SRT came with a Billy Boat exhaust, it's the complete system incl headers and cats.
Hopefully the exhaust is not a disappointment.

B&B is the only system I heard that I liked the sound of.

    Have fun with your rig!

I thought for the longest time our engines fired every 72 degrees (even-firing) as I didn't give it much thought. Shame on me!!!

Apparently a split-pin crank was tried on the Viper engine but didn't offer any power improvements and added machining costs and other balancing concerns so it was never released. I would have loved to have heard it run up through the r.p.m. range though! The Lexus LFA V-10 has a 72 degree bank angle (even firing) and it sounds wicked.

So we are "stuck with" an engine that never has (2) pistons at TDC at the same time (like a Harley Davidson).

Most two-cylinder motorcycle engines ARE equal firing. And as many motorcyclists have found out, putting louder pipes on those even-firing engines does NOT make it sound like a Harley even when you leave the lights in second gear and keep the revs down. ;)

Harleys don't have equal-firing engines due to their crankshaft design. Instead of an even putt-putt-putt-putt (like even-firing 2 cylinders) they are more like pow/pow....pow/pow. Giving them their famous potato-potato exhaust sound. Even nicer when cammed! Too bad many guys think they should be obnoxiously loud...

Our V-10 is a different sounding animal than a 2-cylinder Harley engine (although they are both uneven-firing) and the Viper engine be tricky to get sounding "just right".

Then there is the V-6 Grand National Buick which with loud exhaust, sounds like a 1500 pound Bee. Fast but odd sounding.

I hate harleys they are just junk. Slow, don't handle and the noise is nauseating. The movie Wild Hogs pretty much sums it up. A bunch of pretenders. They are the biggest cause of motorcycle accidents in NZ because of their substandard ability to get around corners.

This is going back several years but I still vividly remember getting off the Electra Glide I was riding and onto a Gold Wing.
It was like going from the Flintstones to the Jetsons in terms of technological advancement.

The rarest Harley in the world is a stock one; particularly regarding engine mods. I wonder why that is...??

PS I am STILL trying to get you an U/D pulley.
