I am attending a Military school in the summer from June to September in Virginia. I want to bring the truck but don't want to drive it from NY. Has anyone used a Uhaul trailer or any other type of transport to move our trucks?

It will be Summer time with good roads. Drive it. I drove mine from Edmonton to Atlanta when I moved. These trucks need a good long run once in a while. You could easily drive it in one day.

You could always try one of those hauling companies where you go to a website and they bid on who wants to pick it up. Had a buddy use one to get his truck from VA to CA cost him round $1500 I think. Couldn't hurt to try. I think you name your price and then see if someone wants to get it. Just a suggestion.

To transport my truck I use the large pedal on the right. It works pretty well in my experience. :D
Are you just trying to save mileage? Can't possibly save money trailering.

I am going to be in Virginia for 4 months. So I was just thinking of saving some mileage ( there and back). This will be my daily for the time I am there. Just wanted some different options.

How the hell does one get out of the vehicle, climb through the window?
The driver side fender hinges down, there's two Jeep hood latches that hold it in place. You can just about see it in the pic:
