Started the summer project early since the truck is down due to my trans. Been working on the trans on and off due to the summer heat in California. Discovered a sunroof leak during rainy season and it gave me an excuse to the the wife I needed a whole new carpet(plus the carpet is almost 20yrs old, had a gallon of milk pop on the seat frame corner a while back and previous owner was a smoker). Lol. Order a carpet from Rockauto, the same dark slate grey. Nice carpet, few things to note you do have to trim here/there and make the holes for the bolts. Coming along pretty good and also gave me a reason to clean all the plastic trim pieces. Here a few pictures of the progress and with the new carpet in.

Looks like you are doing a thorough job on the interior.

My 48RE was a nightmare project (for such a simple and primitive tranny), but it is working properly now.

Hopefully, your transmission project will go smoothly.

And that's why I was glad I was able to find an OEM carpet when I did mine, the only holes I had to make were for the console bracket. If you wanna jazz up the interior a tiny bit more, get a Grant wheel and the silver cruise switches from an Aspen (they match the bezel and door panels):

I have a 1st gen grant steering wheel (what I mean is 1st gen with the silver bezel on top of the steering wheel and wrapped in leather. The 2nd gen just came all wrap in leather). Definitely better than the stock steering wheel. Nice added touch with the Aspen switches!

I see a console automatic shifter. Details on the build, if you don’t mind me asking? Different trans?

Never heard of a beer called 805, is it a thick beer?

I don't have a 10, just have a 1500 with a bunch of the good 10 parts in it lol (mainly brakes, suspension & rear). What I did to my 1500 I wouldn't dare do to a real 10....it was a lot of dash hacking; measure 15x, cut 2 or 3. I have a 2003 and decided to do a bunch of upgrades, including the much nicer seats and console from a 2012, conversion to the 04-08 steering wheel (hated the 02-03 minivan wheel) & throwing in a Grant while I was at it, a backup cam & power tailgate latch, a dash fitting android head unit and new carpet (I believe the last OEM DV color code carpet in existence when I bought it). Still has the RFE trans behind the original (cammed) 5.7 but eventually that is getting replaced with an 8HP70 with a 6.1 (NA for the moment, boost a possibility). The end result:

it’s a blonde ale from Paso Robles, Ca
I have been there.....a long time ago. Turn off the I5 at Lost hills go past Charlie Mansons home at Wasco Pen and Paso Robles is at the end. We ran out of road and ended up delivering wine barrels to Calcaneous in our 18 wheeler lol. The guy there said they had trucks in there all the time. But not that big.

Finished installing the front seats and added my new cup holders. But waiting to finished installing the rear seat because also discovered that water comes in through the rear slider window at the bottom by the track. Some water comes in through the seal and leaks through the track. Any chance anyone has the part number for the rear slider window seal? I’ve searched and haven’t found anything, I might give the bottom part number a try if I don’t find anything. The part number is for a 2009-2020 dodge Ram part number 68102411AA.
