That picture is the very best. There is no way you can't confuse it sitting on top of the axle for a
2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10.
Sorry for using the word "rear end" I thought all rear axles were called rear ends.

Jim, for some reason I thought you had a SC. Thank God you have a QC too....
And just for funnin', you could have photoshopped the leaf springs to make them
black. Your "rear end" seems pretty clean to me for a old "bootie".
btw: I suggest you call Cologuard to see if you can get cancer from a rusty bootie.

Be aware the height of the trucks rear will change . The factory rear height to me and many was to high and looked odd to many .. I changed the rear leaf spring shales to give the truck a more level look . Others have done the same . Others opted to do the lowering mod which flipping the rear , replacing or cutting down front coil springs and such .. The reason why yours was flipped , I have no idea but my guess was it was lowered by a previous owner . Measure the front and rear height of your other truck and see the difference wheelwell to ground .. pinion angle may also come into play. Also depending on the type and amount of lowering ,, if Caltracs were on it then a flip kit is required if I remember right !

The shackles I put on are shorter and leveled out the rear to equal the height close to the front .. plus grease fittings are installed in them .
That reminds me , I need to grease them lol .

Just to gain some knowledge…
I took my knuckles to the sandblaster, then I painted them with aluminum paint.
I notice mine have “QC” stamped in the knuckle when they were made.
Was there a difference between a “RC” and a “QC”? I thought the knuckles were thesame for both. Or, maybe my thought of what a “QC” that is stamped into the knuckle is wrong.

Anyone have a picture of what a “RC” knuckle looks like?

Good observation will check mine when I swap in the new pads.
