2025 Project Post Ho Thread

Another early delivery .. third brake light in ..

Not what it is suppose to do ,,, Cargo lights dont come on but brake lights work fine ..

I haveing a what the heck with them .. plugs in exactly as factory but has a resister wired and 2 washers or something ,, 1 os more like a flat piece of plastic without the washe hole .. No instructions came with it .. see the pic !

Do I just shove the resister into the hole in the roof and let it just sit there and where do those washer go ???? Anyone have any idea!

Im going to assume that the cago lights dont work possibly due to the switch not being one for the cargo lights ,, still no explaination why the wires to the light have 4 prongs to 2 prongs on the factor light and the new light has 4 pins ..

The shambles isn't wired for it?

CHMBL connection maybe? I'm totally guessing of course

I think its wired for it except for the dash switch which doesn have cargo in it .. either way it makesmnomreal difference hahaha and maybe ill check the switch or replace it with a cargo light one .. may even bemable to wire it to the dome light which is on the other side of the third brake light on the interior of the truck which should make the switches connection I need for the cargo lights to work .. still wouldmlike to see the wireing for this circuit ..

Well installed the light ... center red is break light , white is cargo lights that dont come on ,, YET HAHAHA !
I think the 2 washer whatevers were for putting on the mounting screws except the one was miss punched and the hole wasnt made so i made it work hahaha .. it now LED and the resistor is just sitting inside the roof ...IMG_2435.jpeg

Looks modern!

Looks modern!
What funny is that the gasket that came with it and had a center cut out piece may just be perfect for the hood emblem backing hahaha ! Sticky on one side and maybe just enough to cut and cover the back side of the emblem ...

Put the drivers sde in ... what a pain inmthe kester ...
The factory are 2 pieces and the new ones are 1 piece making it tough to get the bolts back in and have to crawl under the front of the truck to get the las bolt in ..
Dodge se some stupid clip for a swiveling ball doohicky that has to lock into the inner body panel .. cheap ask plastic .. I cant get it to snap in but the light is secure...
To top it off inhad to drive the paddidle to the parts store and buy 30$ worth of new orange turn and side marker light bulbs ..the ones i had in the factory light were white and orange lenses ..who would have thought 6 dinky bulbs would cost that much ... also put a couple very small dings on the bumpers new paint because dodge can figure out a better wat to install a headlight.

Im on hold with the second headlight getting to damn hot ..
