Exactly!!This is stupid!!! with the top speed of 118 mph that means it's not a street truck its a dirt truck. take off the mud flaps and nobby tires, add aero and make it fast... faster than 153mph, then I'll smile
Pound Dodge dude for a Dakota size Viper truck lolThis is stupid!!! with the top speed of 118 mph that means it's not a street truck its a dirt truck. take off the mud flaps and nobby tires, add aero and make it fast... faster than 153mph, then I'll smile
Now that would be super cool! Not reinventing the TRX that's a has beenPound Dodge dude for a Dakota size Viper truck lol
Forgot the suspension....it was always a purpose built off roader. Needed to kill the raptor.....ya know, the truck that bends when off-roaded lol:This is stupid!!! with the top speed of 118 mph that means it's not a street truck its a dirt truck. take off the mud flaps and nobby tires, add aero and make it fast... faster than 153mph, then I'll smile

Not so much reinventing as correcting an error. Thanks to Tavares (before he was forced to resign) the hellcat was killed off so they lower powered the TRX with the new 6 banger turbo and called it the RHO....most were not happy about it. It wasn't like TRX's were languishing in dealer lots, people with more dollars than sense were buying them. Now that would be super cool! Not reinventing the TRX that's a has been
2018 was a strange year, i saw rows of Trackhawk's just languishing in the sun. Then ppl started to realize they were silly fast and faster with a pulley and a tune. Now you cant find one in my area for less than a $120k. and they are more than 5 years old.Not so much reinventing as correcting an error. They should go Baja!! It's on off Road truck for goodness sake! LolDon't think anyone has ever decided to do that to their $100k truck lol. I do like that they decided to go with the Redeye/Demon engine this time out. Other than the giant ass screen, I like the interior; actually has a console shifter and not a dial:

Not a Redeye, certainly not a demon. They supposedly added alot more airflow to go from 702 to 777 hp on the same motor as the og trx. They should go Baja!! It's on off Road truck for goodness sake! Lol
Yes exactly - I see "offroad trucks" all the time on the freeway stuck in traffic lol cover with mud and call it goodNot a Redeye, certainly not a demon. They supposedly added alot more airflow to go from 702 to 777 hp on the same motor as the og trx.
I would respectfully say the TRX is an on road luxury truck with off road capabilities, rather than an offroad truck.
This is where it gets good though. At the end of the 27 TRX reveal video. There is a real blurry image of what looks like a street truck..
It doesn't need it lol. But we can't let ford be the top dog. That's one of the things I love about SRT. They take things that are silly to the max. I'm sure alot of people don't understand our love for the SRT 10. Same principle in a different package.I'm not clear on exactly why an offroad truck needs so much hp if it isn't going to go baja style - when i grew up my family did lotscof offroading and sand duning and I'm thinking the torque factor was key. I'm just guessing I have no practical application experience
Yah but at least street race technology is more applicable IMO and the other thing I love about the stock SRT is that it's naturally aspirated. It doesn't need it lol. It's the Redeye/Demon engine. In the Redeye cars it was 797 hp, 808/840 hp (pump/race gas) in the 2018 Demon. Truck/SUV based engines are almost always rated a tad less due to the exhaust manifold situation. The earlier TRX was only rated at 702 hp when the cars were running 717 with the "standard" hellcat engine. Not a Redeye, certainly not a demon. Maybe I'm wrong but here is what I read so far. It is not a de tuned redeye but some of the redeye valve train is going to be used. They got increased hp out of the smaller blower with more air flow and higher rpm. It's the Redeye/Demon engine. In the Redeye cars it was 797 hp, 808/840 hp (pump/race gas) in the 2018 Demon.
